Player Setup

Help your players install the correct modpack so they can join your server without mod mismatch errors.

Using the Player Setup Page

1. Open Player Setup

   In your server dashboard, click Player Setup in the left sidebar under Management.

2. View Your Modpack Info

   The page will show which modpack is installed on your server, including:

   • Modpack name and icon
   • Minecraft version
   • Mod loader (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge)
   • Direct link to the modpack page

3. Share with Your Players

   You have two easy options:

   • Copy the link - Click "Copy Link" and send the modpack URL to your players
   • Copy the message - Use the pre-written message at the bottom of the page

How Players Install the Modpack

Once your players have the modpack link, they can install it using one of these launchers:

CurseForge App (Recommended)

1. Download and install CurseForge App
2. Click the modpack link you shared
3. Click "Install" on the modpack page
4. Once installed, click "Play" to launch
5. Add your server IP in Multiplayer and connect!

Prism Launcher

1. Download and install Prism Launcher
2. Click "Add Instance" → "CurseForge" or "Modrinth"
3. Search for the modpack name
4. Select the same version as your server
5. Install and launch, then add your server

Modrinth App

1. Download and install Modrinth App
2. Click the modpack link (if it's a Modrinth modpack)
3. Click "Install"
4. Launch and add your server IP

Common Issues

"Mod mismatch" or version error

• The player has a different version of the modpack
• Solution: Have them reinstall the exact version shown on your Player Setup page

"No Modpack Detected" on Player Setup page

• You installed mods manually instead of using the Modpacks tab
• Solution: Use the Modpacks tab to install a modpack, or manually share the mod list with your players

Player has extra mods

• Client-side mods (like minimaps, shaders) are usually fine
• Mods that add items/blocks must match exactly
• When in doubt, use the exact same modpack with no additions
